Listen up. What's this Outlaw Star stuff, you say? Where have you been hiding?! Outlaw Star is a 1998 Japanese anime that hit big US exposure in 2001 with Cartoon Network's showing of the cut and dubbed version on their Toonami and Toonami Midnight Run shows, which is when the Yggies hit the wave and got obsessed with this thing. And like all their obsessions, they decided the Outlaw Star sites available out there were missing the entire flavor of the thing, not to mention the edgy fun that could be had with it, and since they all jumped into grabbing the -uncut- and original versions of the series, planned to spring their twisted outlaw view of a great anime series on the unsuspecting websurfing public. What now.. you want to know what an Yggie is? Sheeze, fine, I'll tell you. Yggies are members of the Yggdrasil Roleplaying Group, a freeform writing bunch of warped personalities who call the real world not quite up to snuff and casually plan to make the world a better place, but get sidetracked by stuff like this and never bother getting their hands on small supplies of nuclear weapons to accomplish the task. Their fandom runs the gamut from bands like Live and Pink Floyd to games like Final Fantasy and Xenogears, and now has hit upon Outlaw Star, which you should be grateful for, I tell you. At least it keeps The Corruptor of Youth and La Diabla from Team Rocket adult anime creepiness. But enough about Yggies. Probably best you don't dwell on them too much, since this site is about Outlaw Star and me. Who am I? Damn! Enough with the questions, but you've finally hit upon a topic worth discussing. I'm Gene Starwind, greatest outlaw and bounty hunter that ever lived, captain of the Outlaw Star, and hero of this whole thing, currently residing in the head of La Diabla, and it's a scary place, I tell you. Damn! Why do I have to be in the same head with Fred Luo anyway?! Anyway, enough with this crap. Let's go!!!!
